In any growing business, it can be challenging to balance the workload and delegate responsibilities effectively. As the founder and CEO of Palki Motors, I faced this dilemma in the early stages of building my company. I found myself consistently shouldering the majority of the work, as I struggled to trust my team and delegate tasks.
However, after answering a question posed by the Founder Institute, I was able to shift my perspective and better understand the importance of working “on the business” rather than simply “in the business.” The question asked me to reflect on my transition from a hands-on approach to leading and empowering my team.
This realization has been a game-changer for me and my company. By distributing tasks and responsibilities among my team, I am able to focus on the bigger picture and drive the company forward more efficiently. I am no longer weighed down by the burden of doing everything myself, and I can see a brighter future for Palki Motors.
This experience has taught me the valuable lesson that in order for a business to grow, its leaders must be willing to transition from doing to leading. By empowering and trusting your team, you can achieve more, work smarter, and move faster towards your goals.
