A bold beginning
Built against odds
Designing an electric car from scratch is difficult, expensive, and risky—especially in a country where no one had done it before.
We chose to do it anyway because “Designed in Bangladesh” matters to us. Call it conviction or stubborn optimism—we have stayed focused on this vision for three years, and we are not stopping now.
Designed with purpose
Ride-sharing drivers in Bangladesh care about safety, reliability, and performance—not luxury.
That clarity allowed us to design affordability into the car from the very beginning. We believe an affordable car must be designed affordable from day one—you cannot strip features from a luxury car and expect it to work.
Trust before capital
Palki was built by its customers long before it was built by capital.
When we had no funding, no machines, and only a 200 sq ft workspace, drivers trusted us with pre-orders. In 2023 alone, before delivering a single car, they committed over $200,000—believing in local manufacturing and believing in us.
Beyond just vehicles
We are not just manufacturing cars—we are building an ecosystem around drivers.
We help arrange financing, provide driving data and income insights, build charging and swapping infrastructure, and deliver guidance through in-car infotainment. Our mission is simple but ambitious: improve the lives of 600,000 ride-sharing families.
One platform, many vehicles
We started with Cityboy, a compact commercial passenger car.
As we designed the body, then the cabin, we realized we could design the chassis too. That decision led to ReVolt, our pickup truck. One modular platform now supports multiple vehicles—Cityboy V3 included—built efficiently, at scale.
Earned, not chased
What began as a mission-driven effort gained national and international attention.
Our work has been featured by multiple media outlets, and in 2025, we were honored with the Zayed Sustainability Prize—recognition that validated both our impact and our approach.
Values-aligned capital
We closed our pre-seed round in January 2025 with investors who believe in long-term impact.
From Loyal VC to Accelerating Asia, and strategic investors across MENA, our journey was built on persistence—failing, learning, and earning trust through execution and integrity.
What comes next
Our only true KPI is the average daily income of our drivers.
In 2026, we will double down on experimentation, scalability, and customer-led design—ensuring every improvement directly makes a driver’s work easier, safer, and more profitable.
Designing electric cars locally with engineering focused on durability, long daily usage, and real-world road conditions.
Manufacturing vehicles ourselves to control quality, reduce cost, and scale production using micro-factory methods.
Helping ridesharing drivers become car owners through community sales and structured financing support.
Providing access to finance, charging solutions, and service infrastructure to ensure reliable daily operation.
Training drivers to work professionally, earn more income, and improve their family’s quality of life.
