Long — 2 paragraphs
Palki Motors is Bangladesh's first homegrown electric vehicle manufacturer. Founded in 2022 by engineer-entrepreneur Mustafa Al Momin, the company designs, engineers and assembles affordable EVs at a microfactory in Dhaka — building vehicles around the economics of the country's commercial drivers, not the preferences of premium markets. Palki's lineup includes the Cityboy V2 and V3 passenger EVs, the ReVolt V2 light commercial pickup, and the Palki X27.
To date, Palki has delivered 26 vehicles, carried ~374,400 passengers on CO₂-free trips, and avoided ~150 tonnes of CO₂ per year. The company received the $1M Zayed Sustainability Prize in January 2025, and is backed by Loyal VC, Accelerating Asia, William Ng and Startup Bangladesh.
Founder Bio
Mustafa Al Momin is the Founder & CEO of Palki Motors Limited. An electrical engineer by training (Montana State University), he started his first company, cWork, before returning to Bangladesh with a conviction: that the people who keep the country's economy moving — its commercial drivers — deserved transport technology built around their economics, not imported around someone else's.
In 2022 he sold his house to build the first Palki prototype. Three years later, the company has delivered 12 vehicles, won the $1M Zayed Sustainability Prize, and is preparing the launch of its CKD assembly line in Dhaka.
Mustafa is available for interviews in English and Bangla.
Vehicle Lineup
Five platforms — three on the road today, two in active development. Built for commercial drivers, light logistics and small fleets.
